HighLevel Agency Pro ($497) vs Unlimited ($297)
The $200 question for every agency thinking about reselling. Here is what changes and how to decide.
This page may contain affiliate links to HighLevel. Disclosure.
HighLevel's Unlimited plan is $297/month and Agency Pro is $497/month (or $2,970 and $4,970 per year). Both include unlimited sub-accounts, contacts and users. The question is whether the extra $200 a month pays for itself in your business.
What Agency Pro adds
According to HighLevel's pricing page, Agency Pro includes everything in Unlimited plus (pricing):
- SaaS Mode: sell your own subscription plans from your website
- Automated sub-account creation after a client pays
- Rebilling phone and email with a markup (Unlimited rebills at cost only)
- User/agent reporting
- Advanced API access (Unlimited has basic API access)

When Unlimited is enough
- You run a done-for-you agency and bill clients a retainer by invoice
- You add new clients occasionally and do not mind creating sub-accounts yourself
- You pass usage through at cost or include it in your fee
- You do not need clients to choose and buy plans on their own
When Agency Pro pays off
- You want clients to sign up and pay without a call, and get a configured account automatically
- You want different plans with different features and prices
- You want to earn a margin on texts, calls or email usage
- You expect enough clients that manual account creation and billing would cost you hours each month
Break-even thinking (example only)
The extra cost is $200/month. Agency Pro pays for itself if the time it saves plus the margin it lets you earn exceeds that.
Time saved. If automated signup and billing save you 4 hours a month and your time is worth $50/hour, that is $200.
Usage margin. Suppose each of 10 clients generates $20/month of usage at HighLevel's cost, and you rebill it with a 1.5x multiplier (HighLevel lets you set the resell amount as a multiplier under Agency View, Reselling, phone pricing). Your margin is $10 per client, so $100/month across 10 clients.
Both figures are made up for illustration. Plug in your own: count the hours you actually spend creating accounts and chasing payments, and look at real usage in your wallet history.

A middle path
Some agencies start on Unlimited while they find a niche and sign the first clients by hand, then upgrade to Agency Pro when they are ready to sell plans publicly. HighLevel says upgrades mid-month are charged the prorated difference (pricing FAQ). The 14-day free trial also works on Agency Pro, so you can build your SaaS setup before paying.
Frequently asked questions
