How to rebrand HighLevel with your own domain and app
Every place a client might see the platform's name, and how to replace it with yours.
This page may contain affiliate links to HighLevel. Disclosure.
Clients judge your software by the login page, the links in their notifications and the app on their phone. HighLevel lets agencies rebrand each of those. Some are free settings; the mobile app under your own name is a paid add-on.
This guide follows HighLevel's own help articles; menu names can shift as the product updates, so keep the linked articles open as you work.
1. The whitelabel login domain
This replaces HighLevel's default login address with one on your domain, such as app.youragency.com. Per HighLevel's help article (whitelabel domain setup):
- At your DNS provider, create a CNAME record for the subdomain you want (for example, host "app") pointing to the target value HighLevel shows in the article.
- In HighLevel go to Agency View, Settings, Company, Whitelabel, Whitelabel Domain, enter the full subdomain and click Update.
- Upload your logo and add your Privacy Policy and Terms URLs in company settings.
- Wait for DNS to propagate, then open your subdomain and confirm the branded login page and SSL certificate. HighLevel issues SSL automatically once DNS points correctly.
Use a subdomain rather than your main website domain. HighLevel recommends a subdomain, most commonly "app" (domains overview).
2. Branded system links (API domain)
Links that HighLevel generates (for example in forms, calendars and some notifications) can use your domain instead of the platform's. This is set as the API or branded domain under the agency's whitelabel domain settings, and HighLevel's domain connect wizard can create the CNAME for supported registrars (domains overview).
3. Email sending domain
Client emails should come from the client's own domain (or yours), properly authenticated. HighLevel's domains overview covers dedicated sending domains alongside the whitelabel and API domains (domains overview). A dedicated email IP is also available at $59/month if a client sends enough volume to need one (pricing).
4. Website, funnel and client portal domains
Every client site and funnel can run on the client's own domain. HighLevel's pricing FAQ confirms you can connect custom domains for funnels and websites and white-label the desktop web app (pricing FAQ). Client portal domains are covered in the same domains article.
5. The desktop app
HighLevel offers a White-Label Desktop App you can customize and distribute to clients, separate from the standard HighLevel and LeadConnector desktop apps. Branding the desktop app is configured with its own customizer, while the whitelabel domain controls the web login (white-label desktop app guide).
6. Mobile apps: three options
| Option | Branding the client sees | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Standard HighLevel app | HighLevel | Included |
| LeadConnector app | LeadConnector, without the HighLevel name | Included |
| White label mobile app | Your app name, logo, colors and font in the app stores | $497/month or $1,491/quarter |
Prices from HighLevel's pricing page and pricing guide. The white-label app is customized under Agency View, Mobile App, where you set the app name, logo, primary color and font (HighLevel help), and setup involves linking your own Google Play account (HighLevel help).
Is the branded app worth $497 a month? It is a fixed cost, so it makes more sense as your client count grows. Run the numbers with and without it in our profit calculator, which has a switch for the app.
There is also a Branded Client Portal App at $49/month per sub-account, which gives a client's community or course members a mobile app under the client's brand (pricing guide). That is a product you can resell, not your own agency app.
7. Onboarding emails and help content
Replace any platform-branded welcome emails with your own. In SaaS Mode, the welcome email is triggered at signup; write it in your voice with the login link on your whitelabel domain, a short "first three steps" list and how to reach you. Record your own short training videos on your domain so clients never need the vendor's help center.
Rebranding checklist
- Whitelabel login domain live with SSL
- Logo, favicon, privacy and terms URLs set
- Branded API domain for system links
- Email sending domains authenticated for each client
- Client sites and funnels on client domains
- Mobile app decision made (LeadConnector or branded add-on)
- Welcome email, onboarding checklist and support contact in your brand
- A test signup checked end to end from a client's point of view
What white-labeling does not do
Rebranding changes what clients see. It does not change who is responsible for the service in their eyes: you are. When something breaks, they call you. Factor support into your pricing, and read the vendor's terms on what you may and may not say about the underlying platform.
Frequently asked questions
Can I completely hide HighLevel from my clients?
In the web app, largely yes: whitelabel login domain, your logo and branded links. Mobile is the usual gap. The LeadConnector app avoids the HighLevel name; an app under your own name is the $497/month white-label mobile app add-on.
What DNS record does the whitelabel domain need?
A CNAME record for your chosen subdomain pointing to the target HighLevel specifies in its whitelabel domain article. SSL is issued automatically once the record resolves.
Does rebranding cost extra?
The whitelabel domain, logo and branded links are settings in the agency account. The white-label mobile app is a paid add-on at $497/month or $1,491/quarter.
Can each client have their own domain?
Yes. Client websites, funnels and sending domains can be on each client's own domain. Your whitelabel login domain is the one all clients use to sign in.
